Common FLUX questions.

What age group is FLUX designed for, and is prior coding or electronics experience required?

FLUX is recommended for learners aged 12 and above—roughly Class 7 onward. No prior coding or electronics experience is required for the nine ready projects. Learners only need basic computer use, reading, and the ability to follow instructions.

Can a child use FLUX independently, or is adult supervision required?

Most learners aged 12+ can use FLUX independently in its assembled form with the included USB cable. Adult or experienced guidance is required before opening the HAT, connecting external components, or changing power connections.

When are Arduino IDE or a USB driver needed?

Arduino IDE and ESP32 board support are needed only for original or changed projects. A USB driver may be required if the computer does not recognise FLUX.

Is the AI Prompt Builder free, or does it require a paid subscription later?

The FLUX Prompt Builder is included at no additional charge and does not require a Logic Studio subscription. It prepares text that the learner copies into an external AI assistant. That provider may require an account or apply its own usage limits or charges.

Does FLUX require tools, wiring, or soldering, and is it electrically safe for kids?

No tools, soldering, breadboard, or loose wiring are required for the supplied projects. FLUX operates from a standard 5V USB source; use a computer for browser flashing, after which an installed project can run from a suitable USB charger. FLUX is an educational electronics kit, not a sealed toy. Disconnect power before opening it because incorrect voltage or wiring can permanently damage the board.

What support is provided if a learner gets stuck?

WhatsApp support is available for initial setup, browser flashing, restoring a ready project, and troubleshooting a specific code or hardware symptom. For faster diagnosis, share the complete sketch, expected result, observed result, and a clear photo or video.

Is FLUX limited to the nine ready projects, or can students build original inventions and connect external components?

FLUX is not limited to the nine projects. Learners can change the behaviour or upload completely original Arduino sketches using the onboard controls and components. External expansion is not currently part of the supported beginner path. Do not connect external components without the correct ESP32 pin and voltage information; damage from unsupported wiring is not covered.

What happens if custom code stops working?

Open FLUX Console in Chrome or Edge, select any ready project, and flash it again. This replaces the current custom sketch with a tested FLUX project. It can restore the software, but it cannot repair hardware damaged by incorrect voltage or wiring.

What warranty applies after delivery, and how are defective units handled?

Every unit is tested before dispatch. If FLUX arrives damaged or does not work on first power-on, contact Logic Studio immediately with clear photos or video before opening the HAT or connecting external hardware. Logic Studio will assess the available repair or replacement route. Warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect voltage, short circuits, reversed connections, unsupported external components, liquid, impact, or modification. Paid diagnosis or repair may be offered where practical.

Why not just buy a bare ESP32?

A bare board still needs loose components, jumper wires, setup, and a reliable pin map. FLUX is the fixed hardware testbed around it.

How does FLUX work with AI responsibly?

The guided sessions work with major AI assistants. They ask the model to interview, scaffold, and diagnose; the learner still defines, predicts, tests, and writes the project logic.

FLUX uses an I²S microphone supported by the ESP32 board package. No separate microphone library is required.
